Vivir muriendo. To live dying.

Vivir muriendo.

Capelina obscura y somnolienta

To live dying.

Dark and heavy feeling
of indescribable and confusing aspect
like a storm it arrives
In a day of diffuse sunlight.

In the garden the child was playing
darkness appeared around
haunted with silence.
Everything was clear, death had come
Her eyes were closed and beating, her heart, had stopped from...

Is death the end of life? Does death give meaning to life? Why so many people spend their life thinking about death and yet, forget to live? Without death and with an eternal life on offer the "do it tomorrow" would be popular, people would be contemplating life, avoiding it, allowing it to be. Or rather, a life without time limits could reach greatest challenges?
I tend to think the former view would apply: people with hatred feelings would have more time to play with and develop their black moods, apologies would take long in coming - if they came at all-, success would be postponed until we were " better prepared ", the visits would be cancelled without thinking about re-scheduling them because at some point we would have a chance to visit that person ... it would never be a one last time.
I enjoy today smashing my head against the wall fighting for dreams that may never be, hearing voices I know that at some point will not sound anymore, touching skins that are loosing tonicity, contemplating sunrises that are becoming less every day, seeing children who are not that naïve, seeing colours changing into gray ... and yet, I am grateful that this life has an end and that end allows me to understand that every moment I spend in this life must be lived my way, as I like it and I want it, with whom I choose, not ashamed to ask for forgiveness, not afraid to say I love you, without fear of leaving the heart torn into pieces, eager for the unexpected, but with a smile when I look back and see how it was with those who I lived it with.
Long life to death. Long life to darkness. Because it is on us to decide if we accept that it is inevitable and it is also in us to either walk slowly or hold life with both hands and demand more.
